Your OAC crew has been working hard, making lists, checking check-points, arranging hotels and preparing for the best OpenAir Classic even. Eau Claire was outstanding in 2009. They set high marks for hospitality, fantastic roads, comfortable quarters and all-around touring fun. It will be a tough act to follow, but we promise there’ll be nothing less in 2010!
We’re nearly ready to lift the curtain so be there January 30 th to lead the charge!

Warm Up at The Fourth OpenAir Conditioner –January 29-31, 2010
FILL’ER UP WITH FUN at the OpenAir Conditioner IV ! The 2010 OpenAir Conditioner will be held in “Madtown USA” – Madison, Wisconsin. It’s worked out so well the last two years that we decided to do it again in 2010.
By popular demandthe headquarters is again the top-rated Madison Concourse Hotel and Governor’s Club (http://www.concoursehotel.com). It’s located in the heart of Madison, a block off the Capitol Square, near shopping, museums, night-life and a block off of State Street.
We’ve arranged for a special block of rooms – your choice – a deluxe Concourse Guest Room for $79 (plus tax) per night or a posh Governor’s Club Guest Room for $109 (plus tax) per night. As you know, these are special OAC rates! The swanky Governor’s Club includes complimentary cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, desserts and continental breakfast in the private Governor's Club Lounge. It’s favored by VIPs and visiting celebrities (like us!).
Ask anyone who was there last January - at these rates you’d be crazy to stay home! Parking is included . Ask for the OpenAir Conditioner rate. Ph:1- 800-356-8293.Hurry - Limited rooms available. Many of you are already booked.

We’ll drift in on Friday afternoon and evening, gather informally, relax, go to dinner, enjoy the pool, lounge and area attractions. We’ll have area maps, shopping, attraction and dining guides at check-in to help you explore the area or to get a group together for a night on the town.

SATURDAY - FILL’ER UP DAY - We’ve arranged for Jim Drager of the State Historical Society and author of the highly acclaimed book “Fill Er Up – The Glory Days of Wisconsin’s Gas Stations” to present a program based on his book from 9:30 to 10:30 AM Saturday. He’ll have copies on hand to sell and autograph for you.
Then explore the Capitol Square, shop or drive to Wollersheim Winery to celebrate the release of the new Port.
Our OAC Announcement Banquet is at the historic Dorf Haus Bavarian Restaurant in Roxbury, about 10 minutes from Wollersheim Winery or about 45 minutes directly from the Concourse. A cash bar will open at 1PM. At 2PM we’ll have a delicious European banquet buffet with Old German Recipe Sauerbraten & Spatzle, Oven-Baked Country Chicken, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Family Recipe German Potato Salad, The Kaiser’s Red Cabbage, Relishes from the Hinterlands, Coffee or Milk and Bavarian Chocolate Cak. Then we’ll meet surprise guests, award door prizes and announce the 2010 OpenAir Classic destination.
After the food and fun, head back to Madison to explore the Capital City. The evening will be yours for dining, entertainment or hanging out! A neat option: Madison radio & TV personality and stand-up comic, Mitch Henck is presenting his Rat-Pack style floor show “THE BIG SHOW” at 8PM at Kennedy Manor just a few blocks from the Concourse. It runs about 60-80 minutes. He will try to seat OAC members in table groups if interested. The show is $25, seating is limited. Reservations can be made by calling 608-347-0374.
