We started with the WCC in 1993. Dave had read about it in a local newspaper but we were due to go out of town on a business trip. At the last minute it was cancelled and while we missed most of the first day we headed up to Green Bay where we met up with the group
and we had the distinction of being the last car to register - #63.
We were driving a 1967 Mustang at the time. Since that first trip we have only missed one year due to being away on a cruise. Now we plan our vacation better!!
We have enjoyed the friendships and the fun, the missed turns and wrong directions (north - south - east - west)!! That is all part of the fun. Our current car is a 1999 Sebring. Since we are getting older we opted for the creature comforts such as air conditioning and no leaks when it rains.
Come the middle of this year, we hope to be semi-retired and plan on putting more miles on our convertible. The four days with the tour just seem to go by too fast. We live in Mount Prospect, Illinois and a few years back we introduced a couple of our convertible loving friends to the tours and now they look forward to it each year as much as we do.
